Taking stock for April (cos it’s nearly done!)

Making : myself write something somewhere every day (like this post!)
Cooking : not much at all. I’m trialling delivered, prepared food. It’s easier for my life
Drinking : Tea, chai….some delicious red wine on Friday evening with friends.
Reading: Tom Cox’s cat books.
Trawling: through Alice Nightingale’s etsy shop
Wanting: to be better at saving money
Looking: a lot at the beautiful post-rain greenery of my garden
Deciding: whether to apply for a new job. think I’ve decided not to.
Wishing: I wasn’t so lazy around the house
Enjoying: lots of chats with awesome peeps
Waiting: for any sign of winter
Liking: quiet, recharging introvert, alone time.
Wondering: what the rest of this year will bring
Loving: series 3 of Broadchurch, rewatching Lark Rise to Candleford
Pondering: how to keep my life in balance
Listening: to podcasts, podcasts always podcasts
Considering: trying to write a children’s book…..
Buying: too many clothes as per usual
Watching: Netflix, Stan, SBS, ABC
Hoping: this is my year
Marvelling: at what stresses other people cope with in their lives
Cringing: at local, national and world politics
Needing: to finish this cup of tea
Questioning: the purpose of silent reading in classes
Smelling: pear and ginger candle
Wearing: a cotton kimono dressing gown
Noticing: that I should really be using my reading glasses for using the computer
Knowing: I need to get to the supermarket
Thinking: I don’t want to
Admiring: @mellathouras
Getting: fitter
Bookmarking: lots of articles about engaging kids with reading
Opening: some FB messages and closing them again for reply later
Closing: the door on my previous job
Feeling: mentally weary today
Hearing: the sunday lawnmower brigade starting outside
Celebrating: my new nephew every day
Pretending: to be interested when people talk at me instead of with me
Embracing: things that feed my spirit – music, art, writing, reading, good friends, family and more
