Hmmm….I don’t have anything particular to post about but thought I should pop in another one before March finishes. Life is settling into its new routine quite nicely now. Studying without working full time is strange but I’m getting used to it. At first I was suspicious that I seemed to have plenty of time…so much so that I tended to procrastinate a little bit more than I should have.
Still the week takes a general shape. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday I have some music students at different times. Monday I have choir in the evening and on Thursday I go to rehearsal for the Bundaberg Sinfonietta – a chamber music group led by excellent people and conducted by Barry Davis (no relation) an oboist who has *retired* to Bundaberg. It’s a great way to gently try and get some ensemble skills back. On Fridays I also have a violin lesson in the afternoon, and on Monday I have a second lesson via Skype with a teacher in Canberra. The miracles of modern technology eh. I am enjoying the challenge of correcting and improving technical issues. In particular, my bow arm, wrist, elbow, etc etc all needs attention. And that’s just for starters.
Other than that, I read, I watch TV, I watch films, I listen to music, I sometimes garden, I go out for coffee, I catch up with friends, I tweet and instagram and Facebook. I have still been swimming except for the past week when the weather has been horrid in various ways. Sometimes, I sit on the couch and do absolutely nothing. I drink tea. I think. I have time to think.
