Wendy’s Week of TV: Part 35: The finale March 15, 2009

When I first started my weekly TV update I was very diligent in writing part of it every day and then posting the whole thing at the end of the week. Now I find myself getting to Saturday or Sunday and trying to remember the details of just what I watched during the week…and often […]

Wendy’s Week of TV: Part 34 March 8, 2009

Sunday:The Einstein Factor:…young man with Doctor Who was back as it was some kind of final. He didn’t do very well, particularly on the general knowledge. I’ve forgotten who won, but Barry Jones was on the panel so all was well Einstein-wise.Cranford: Long story short…everyone lived mostly happily ever after. Except Mr Carter who died. […]

What am I going to make sarcastic remarks to strangers? February 24, 2009

The Chinese Restaurant is an absolute classic of Seinfeld’s early seasons along with the carpark episode which we will get to in a little bit. I just adore the idea of an entire episode devoted to waiting. According to the background Inside Look on the DVD NBC were far less enamoured and held the episode […]

Watch, Listen and Singalong: Part 12: Be my echo February 20, 2009

Don’t ask me why but this suddenly came into my mind this evening. It’s a favourite memory from growing up watching Sesame Street. I remember watching it and being totally amused by Grover’s attempts to echo. This was still the case this evening but now, many years later, I was impressed with the quality of […]
