joy and jewellry

Say what you will about birthdays there’s nothing quite as satisfying as buying yourself a present. Even if it is a five dollar markdown piece of cheap jewellery like I found this afternoon whilst buying some nicer for Jinx (whose special day of celebration follows mine tomorrow). I submit for your viewing amazement:

Okay…so it’s a pretty bad photo which doesn’t give you any idea of the immense size of the ring on my finger, but let me tell you…it’s huge. It’s also heavy, weighing down my finger as I’m typing this fascinating post…so it’s doubtful that I’ll ever wear it out of the house (save for very special occasions that require tacky jewellry). Still, what’s a birthday if you can’t treat yourself to a piece of inappropriate and worthless junk that will give you an hour or so of childlike joy and then be put away in a drawer somewhere, never to see the light of day again?

ok so where is the photo of the jewellery I made you ??? I would simply love to see what it looks like on the net!!!! I am also looking forward to seeing the ring cause it doesn’t look like a ring at all.
