we’ll hitch-hike, bus or yellow cab it

Now I’m really indulging myself. But hey, it is my blog after all.

Enjoy these wonderful muppet memories. The fork in the road joke still makes me smile.

(I’m also pretty chuffed that I worked out to read the blogger help to embed a video!)

Just a delight and brings back memories of my kids. I always wondered why kermit was left handed??

I’d swear Fozzie doesn’t have the upper-body strength to drive that car: it looks like it’s made out of cast iron and it certainly doesn’t have power steering.

And how do his legs reach the pedals?

    Gorgeous little song, though.

    he’s fairly shoulderless isn’t he?

maybe kermit is left handed in tribute to paul mccartney…the bigger question is probably how a frog is actually playing what I now see is a banjo- because they don’t have fingers or thumbs as far as I’m aware..and the banjo is notoriously difficult for finger-picking etc

And has flappy, weedy little arms.

I think, regarding the banjo, it has to be a willing suspension of disbelief. I’ve often wondered how he can sing when his lips (do frogs have lips?) are immobile.

    Thank goodness he can, though.

ah brilliant i’d never seen that before! Big Bird sounds strange though…different to what i remember

  6. Wendy says:

yes I thought that too about Big Bird…not nasal enough i think.
you really need to find the movie and watch it all…it’s a classic!

I don’t think frogs do have lips…how does he articulate his words so beautifully without them?

  7. JINX says:

THe lady that was the voice for Big Bird ( Carol S.) has done it for many years like over 35 years.
