By the power of technology today’s post is being written high in the sky above Kiev. We are all thoroughly sick and tired of flying and are desperately hoping the pilot will hit the accelerator. We flew into Singapore overnight. What a treat to have finally fallen asleep on that flight, only to have the cabin lights switched on at 5am OZ time so we could be force fed a hot breakfast.
We stopped in Singapore for 5 hrs and sat in the peace and quiet of the airport lounge. We also showered which was heaven! We had a little wander around before it was time to get to the gate to take off for London.
We left Singapore at 9am their time and will arrive in London at about 3:30pm local time. We will have spent 13 hrs on the plane. We were fed many times. Breakfast was two poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, a sausage and potato. Then we had peanuts, chips, pork with apple sauce and veges, numerous breadrolls with butter and tjam, an apple and a cup of green tea. I have also drunk every glass of water offered to me which means I am feeling a bit sloshed. I slept through a doco on David Bowie and a doco on Mumford and sons. Then I watched five episodes of The Big Bang Theory in a desperate attempt to pass the time. I also watched Iron Man 3 which was dreadfully confusing and stupid but entertaining nonetheless. I have just started watching The Sapphires. There are still over 2 hours to go.
Safe to say we cannot wait to land.
