A walk in the park

We had a genteel Cotswolds kind of day today. After a slow start we finally all roused ourselves to get out of the house and drive 10 minutes down the round toChipping Norton. We were in search of a bank and a Sainsbury’s and found both. Unfortunately we did not sight either Jeremy Clarkson or David Cameron both of whom Wikipedia tells me live in the area. Perhaps we should be thankful for that. We did see a lot of posh cars and entitled Brits. After a stop for a cup of tea we decided to drive up the road to Blenheim Palace. With the house and formal gardens closed for winter hours we were able to park for free and wander through the amazing park (and gift shop). It was a stunning sunny afternoon and we enjoyed our walk around the lake, marvelling at the sheer scale of everything in sight.

Oh, how lovely. The gift shop is sometimes the best part of a trip. I think you were very lucky not to see either man!!!
