Scenery

It was a long day of driving today from fort William to Ambleside where we are tucked into a B and B for the night. The weather is less than lovely and apparently we have just missed a big storm through the lakes. There is water everywhere on the roads. Still it’s not raining now and we will go back into town for some dinner that hopefully does not involve potatoes or chips of any kind. Yesterday we drove out of fort William and through glen Coe. It was raining and cold but stunning scenery. We stopped many times to take photos and got wet in the process. It was well worth it though. Then with the weather still ordinary we drove up into glen Nevis and watched the massive streams and waterfalls coming down the mountain. Scotland certainly has an amazing landscape. Arriving back in England this afternoon everything seems quite clipped and manicured in comparison. Tomorrow we hope to get to Hilltop Farm before heading down to Oxfordshire. Fingers crossed!
