Watching Listen and Singalong: When you know the notes to sing

Thanks to Andy for sharing this on facebook. It’s cheered me and my cold up immensely (even though The Sound of Music is far (hahaha gettit) from my favourite musical).

How fantastic. I might just spontaneously burst into song tomorrow surprising my unsuspecting work colleagues.

What song to choose though?

Perhaps Adelaide’s Lament from Guys and Dolls?

Oh the eye, the ear, the nose, the throat!!! I am a musical fan, my mumn played musicals on our record player when I was little (I was little before TV in our state): Camelot, Kiss Me Kate, Oklahoma, Guys and Dolls and The Sound of Music. I hope you are feeling better soon.
That clip makes me want to be a flash mob!!

Oddly enough, the fact that people spontaneously burst into song and dance in them is exactly why I really don’t care for musicals.

The choreographed song-and-dance numbers in them have exactly the same effect on me as all those birds did on Tippi Hedren.

oh no! I love them. Well the good ones anyway.
    Favourites:
    Chicago
    Fiddler on the roof
    Singing in the Rain
    A chorus line
    Les Miserables

    and, many many more….
