I am home. We arrived yesterday afternoon after a fairly exhausting overnight flight from Singapore to Brisbane. A poor baby cried the whole way. Last night I went to bed at 8pm and slept until 5:30 this morning when the cat’s yowling woke me up.
So far I have managed to read and reply to necessary emails, sort out my internet banking, unpack my suitcase on to the bed, text my piano students and a few other people, email some friends and have two cups of tea. I think I am doing quite well. My wonderful cleaning person is here cleaning my house. The cat hair got a little bit out of control in the last month.
My key task for the week is to put together a presentation for the ALIA mini conference in Brisbane on Friday. I had naively thought I might work on it while I was away. HAHAHAHA. Anyway, I’m sure I can pull it together if I make a start and do some focused planning.
I’ve got other thoughts about where my life is going to next but I think I’ll save that for a day when I am feeling more articulate.

It is always good to come home after a trip away. I always appreciated home more. The cat hair is out of control in Tasmania too. Must be the season. Poor baby, it could be the ears??
